GULF COAST AIR & HYDRAULICS ANNOUNCES DEATH OF CO-FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT, CHUCK MOOREHEAD



MOBILE, AL, February 15, 2017 – Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics sadly announced today that Co-founder and President, Chuck Moorehead, died suddenly and unexpectedly on February 14, 2017.

Karen Williamson, Vice President, commented, "It is with great sadness that we announce today the passing of my friend and colleague, Chuck Moorehead. He was incredibly proud of Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics and all of its employees, and we will all miss him greatly. His determination, spirit and dedication to our Company will inspire and stay with us always. On behalf of our executive management team and employees, we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to his family."

Moorehead co-founded Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics in 1985 after 10 years of experience in the pneumatic and hydraulic marine and industrial market. He spent the last 30 years furnishing his customers with the best quality and service possible.

Williamson, Gary Mabrey and the executive team will continue their leadership roles to provide excellent service to Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics clients.

For over 30 years, Gulf Coast Air & Hydraulics has set the gold standard in providing quality products and services to the marine industry as a full line distributor specializing in Air and Hydraulic Sales, Service, Fabrication and Installation for the Industrial and Marine Industry.


Services will be on Friday, February 17th. Visitation is from 10:00-12:00 at First Christian Church, located at 1419 Government St., Mobile, Alabama.



Services held at 12:00 p.m. with graveside service at Pine Crest, located at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama.

Wesley Gene Weninegar


August 4, 1959—January 15, 2017


Wesley Gene Weninegar, age 57, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 in a local hospital. Wesley was a longtime employee of Gulf Coast Air and Hydraulics. He was preceded in death by his father, William E Weninegar, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Nona Branson Weninegar; two daughters, Morgan W. (Nick) Johnson and Erin Weninegar; one step-son, Dustin (Kristin) Harris; his mother, Jean Weninegar; two brothers, Williams E. (Doris) Weninegar, Jr. and Joey (Adrienne) Weninegar; one sister, Laurie (Joey) Bass; one grandson, Blake Johnson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Joette Branson; two brothers-in-law, Frank Branson and John Branson; two sisters-in-law, Stephanie Mosley and Risa Morgan, nieces, nephew and other relatives. The family will receive friends on Wednesday January 18, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral services at Dayspring Baptist Church, 220 Cody Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Ascension Funerals & Cremation, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695.
